UBUD TRADITIONAL MARKET

Madeftu Bali Tours - Welcome to Ubud traditional market in which the existence of which is not much different from other markets located in urban areas. Ubud Traditional Market as an economic center of society, it is contrary to the existence of Saren Ubud Puri Imperium. Market extending from west to east is divided into two groups with different goals. Blocks to the west is the traditional art market and the block located to the east as the everyday needs of traditional market fundamental. This market is open every day around 08:00 until 18:00, even some of them are still open until the evening. While the traditional market for basic needs is opened every day at 06.00 - and even before that there is market morning started at 4:00 in the morning.

Art crafts that are sold on the art market is comprised of various handicrafts, from traditional to contemporary craft that prices are relatively cheap. You can do the transaction directly to the merchants are generally negotiable. All crafts are sold in this place you can take home as souvenirs such as shoes, wooden sculptures, bags, clothes, mats, paintings and more.



If you live in Ubud area, then do not forget to stop in Traditional Markets in Ubud Monkey Forest Street, right in front of the Palace of Ubud. Just like other traditional markets, tenant companies give every imaginable souvenir items, from silver jewelry, and precious stones for batik, T-shirts, beach sarongs, wood carvings, cane and briefcase. Each stall is packed with goods, some items even hanging from the ceiling.

Haggling can be quite a challenge, several vendors can be very difficult to bargain with and they even set a higher price for foreigners. The secret to successful bargain? Put your foot down, lower your asking price by 50 percent, and do not forget to smile! Take from my own experience, I bought a fine silver pendant was originally made with the price of Rp.150,000 for only USD 30, 000!
The weekend is their busiest day, the market turned into one of the main attractions of Ubud as many tourists off the bus tours in the area.
