Bali Bombing occurred on the evening of October 12, 2002 in the town of Kuta district on Bali island, Indonesia, sacrificing 202 people and mencederakan 209 others, mostly foreign tourists. This event is often regarded as the worst incident of terrorism in Indonesian history.
Some of the people of Indonesia has been sentenced to death for their role in the bombing. Abu Bakar Baashir, accused of being one of those involved in leading this bombing, declared not guilty to conspiracy in March 2005 bomb attack, and only convicted of immigration violations.
